TRANSORIENT (Turkey) listed among Turkey’s “Best Managed Companies” by Deloitte
Transorient International Forwarding, your Pangea partner in Turkey, has been awarded as one of Best Managed Companies in Deloitte Private’s Best Managed Companies Programme already implemented in 20 countries worldwide and held for the second time in Turkey.
Within the scope of the award program 95 candidate companies being Private and over five years old, having twenty-five or more employees and controlled by a Turkey‐based company or Turkish Citizen were examined in depth by Deloitte coaches. As a result of this detailed inspection, 37 companies were presented to the jury as finalists. Jury under the presidency of Umit Boyner, CEO of Boyner Group consisted of senior managers of 9 largest holding companies in Turkey.
15 companies among the 37 finalists examined under four main criteria, namely; strategy, competence and innovation, culture and commitment, governance and financials, were awarded with the degree of “Best Managed Companies”.
Managing Partners, Nil Tunaşar and Can Pakyürek, received Transorient’s award from Deloitte Private Turkey Leader, Ali Çiçekli. In his speech, Can Pakyürek said:
‘’We have proudly taken over the management of Transorient from our family 30 years ago, and re‐shaped it according to our dreams. The award we received today proves that our path was correct. I would like to thank specially to my partner who has always been with me during this process, also to my family, Transorient Employees, my friends and competitors. I would like to express my gratitude to Deloitte for organizing this event and to the members of the jury for deeming us worthy of this honorable award. Our ultimate target is to carry our company to the next century by continuing to design innovative solutions and creating value in logistics”.
Deloitte Private Turkey Leader, Mr. Ali Çiçekli, who emphasised the importance of the positive returns of evaluation process to the companies, said: “I believe that this program will be a guide for the companies in applying the good management principles. In addition, the winners of Turkey are planned to be represented also on the Global Best Managed Companies platform. Rather than the award itself, what i consider very valuable is the didactic outcomes of the examination process on the way to the award and i believe that the program will be beneficial for the representation of the companies in the international arena.’’
