According to the latest market report from the Thailand Trade Policy and Strategy Office, Thai exports declined in most markets, partly because the spread of the coronavirus has disrupted trade logistics. However, the report indicates some markets are expanding such as US, ASEAN, CLMV and Australia. Exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products decreased whereas industrial products expanded (parts of aircrafts and accessories, computer and parts, vehicles, gold, steel).
On the other hand, the report also includes export prospects and promotion strategies for the rest of the year. Remarking that the spread of the pandemic has highlighted the growing demand for agricultural products and processed foods, being Thailand one of the major food producers in the world this can be an opportunity to gain recognition on the market.
