Polar Logistics Russia Chief Operating Officer (COO), Karina Tokina, presented to the members of the Registered Association Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce (FRCC) the company’s view on the topic: “Prospects for the development of logistics in Russia. Difficulties and solutions. The situation in the cargo transportation from Russia to Europe.”
Mrs. Tokina shown to the audience the regular Logistics Performance Index (LPI) that was calculated by the World Bank in Turku (Finland) first in 2007. According to LPI the Russian logistics market won five positions in the ranking and took the 90th place among other 160 countries in 2014 in comparison with 2012 (the 95th place among 155 countries). Polar Logistics Russia COO noted that the Russian customs still had the greatest negative impact on the index of the country nevertheless there were good prospects for the further growth in spite of some border restrictions.
FRCC logistics and foreign trade club meeting was held on March, 1st in Moscow.
