The year 2019 sees a further expansion of the distribution network of PEKAES, your Pangea partner in Poland. Today, the leading logistics operator handed over a distribution terminal in Bydgoszcz for the use of clients – it is PEKAES’ third warehouse commissioned this year.
Following the recent handover of warehouse space in Kielce and Białystok, this is another stage in the company’s investment as part of its strategy to expand the network of cargo terminals. The new facility ensures considerably greater operational possibilities and a broader scale of business for PEKAES.
“The opening of the terminal in Bydgoszcz results from an increase in the volume of the cargo we handle in this part of the country. Thanks to the extra space we are ready for a further development of cooperation with our partners in this region. We still plan to expand our cargo network, and shortly we will announce further investments by PEKAES in this services segment”, says Maciej Bachman, Chairman of the Board of Management of PEKAES.
Apart from the warehouse section with 30 loading bays, the building has modern social and office space to which the Bydgoszcz branch of PEKAES has been relocated. The new terminal and company head office are located in Bydgoszcz at ul. Mokra 32.
The building is situated in the south-east of the city, on the site of one of the biggest logistics-production centres in Bydgoszcz. The terminal has excellent transport links, close to the S5 expressway that is under construction and will connect Olsztyn, the A1 motorway, Bydgoszcz, Poznań and Wrocław.
PEKAES has one of the most efficient cargo networks in Poland, comprising 19 domestic distribution terminals. Over the past three years alone, the operator has opened modern terminals in the largest regions of Poland.
