PEKAES, your PANGEA Partner in Poland and a leading logistics operator, introduced a regular direct connection with Romania. After the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany, this is the next country in Europe in which PEKAES expanded its network of connections.
As part of further investments in the development of the groupage network in Europe, PEKAES introduced a direct connection with Romania, offering its Clients attractive rates and the delivery of goods within 2-3 days. Packages are shipped from the PEKAES branch located in Czechowice-Dziedzice (Poland) to the warehouse in Arad in western Romania twice a week.
“We provide services to Romania together with our local partner. Romania is a very promising market for us. It is the fastest growing economy in the European Union” – says Marek Tkaczyk, the Director of International Groupage at PEKAES.
According to Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office, during the second quarter of 2016, Romania had the highest annual economic growth in the EU, with a growth rate of 5.9% y-o-y. In comparison, Slovakia, which came in second place among the fastest growing economies of the European Union, had a growth rate of 3.7 percent.
“We are very happy that each year, Polish companies increase their revenues from the export of goods to Romania. It is worth noting that Poland is also important to the Romanian economy. Romania imports more goods from Poland than from China or Russia” – adds Marek Tkaczyk.
PEKAES had a busy beginning of the new year by launching a regular connection with Romania and, starting from January, daily groupage connections with the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At the end of last year, the company launched its third daily line that serves groupage transport between Poland and Germany, from Poznań to Duisburg. PEKAES is planning further investments in the development of its groupage network in Europe.
