PEKAES (Poland) expanding its connection network in Europe

PEKAES, your Pangea Partner in Poland and a leading logistics operator, is strengthening its network of international connections in Europe. Recent weeks brought the launch of additional lines on European routes as well as further investments of PEKAES in the terminal infrastructure.

Growing trade between the countries translated into the activity of logistics operators specializing in complex logistics solutions to every point on the world map. Recently PEKAES expanded its offer with new routes and additional connections in Europe. Thanks to that the delivery time of international groupage shipments on many European routes was significantly shortened.

Romania, Hungary, and Greece on the top

PEKAES launched, among others, additional lines to Romania, currently realizing four exports per week and two imports on this direction. The operator mainly provides services to the automotive, chemical and textile industries on this route.

“We operate five warehouses in different locations in Romania, to which we dispatch vehicles from Poland. Depending on the place of collection or delivery, our customers’ goods reach their destination within two or three days. It is worth mentioning that PEKAES also operates a connection to Moldova which, according to our findings, is gaining more and more importance”, says Marek Tkaczyk, International Network Director of PEKAES.

One of the most popular destinations for international shipments carried out by PEKAES is Hungary. Every day a truck filled with shipments leaves the operator’s terminal in Czechowice-Dziedzice for delivery to Hungary. PEKAES also delivers goods to Serbia, Bosnia, and Macedonia. The freight mainly includes furniture, bathroom accessories, spare parts, power tools, floor panels and small items.

PEKAES also makes daily transports to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. In the case of those countries, loading of goods takes place in the morning in Poland and in the late afternoon, unloading already takes place on the territory of those countries. The operator carries out deliveries within 48 hours from the moment of collecting the goods. For Hungary and Romania the delivery time is 72 hours.

The network of international PEKAES connections between Poland and Germany was also strengthened. Currently the Company offers three daily groupage connections with Germany. In addition, direct connections to Switzerland, the Netherlands and Ukraine, and since June this year also an additional direct connection from Poland to Thessaloniki and Athens.

“Greece is breaking records this year, which is why we have launched a second line during the week, which has significantly reduced delivery times to this country. Customers can also take advantage of our distribution service for shipments within Cyprus. I would like to add that the direction which is developing equally well is Bulgaria, where we already go twice a week”, added Marek Tkaczyk.

PEKAES increases the frequency of connections to selected destinations and flexibly responds to the needs of its Customers. The company is also successfully developing its connections in the south of Europe e.g., in Italy. Terminals serving Poland on the part of the Italian business partner are in Milan, Turin, and Padua.

“This year, Poland has noted record results in both export and import of goods, which also affects our activity. Therefore, when launching new destinations and additional groupage lines, we take into account current market trends. At the same time, we open up to new business opportunities for our Customers. We provide a wide network of connections, as well as comprehensive services, integrated information, modern IT solutions and high quality of service”, says Maciej Bachman, CEO of PEKAES.
