The Christmas period is a time when it is particularly important to bring help to those in need of it. PEKAES, your Pangea partner in Poland, remembers about it every year and involves its employees in a number of charitable campaigns, such as Szlachetna Paczka (Noble Parcel) or Pomóż Dzieciom Przetrwać Zimę (Help Children Survive Winter). Activities carried out by volunteers are already a tradition in the company, and the help does not end after Christmas but is provided all year round.
Kindness multiplies if you share it!
This year PEKAES employees can choose from several community projects implemented during the Christmas period. One of them is the shared campaign with the Social Assistance Centre in Błonie, the purpose of which is to prepare a Christmas present for children remaining under the care of the Centre. At the beginning of December, Christmas trees appeared in the Head Office and the Warsaw Branch on which baubles with names of children from the Błonie Centre were hung. Thanks to this, each company employee, regardless of which branch they work in, can select their ward and prepare a Christmas gift for them. This can be done individually or in a group.
PEKAES has also become involved in the national campaign Pomóż Dzieciom Przetrwać Zimę (Help Children Survive Winter) which aims to support children from families which found themselves in a difficult situation. Under this project, employees may provide food, school articles, clothes, footwear or toys.
This year, PEKAES yet again lends its support to Szlachetna Paczka (Noble Parcel) – a national campaign in which a family is selected and its individual needs are met. This time three families were chosen and employees will prepare parcels for them, containing among other things food, household detergents, clothes, furniture and electrical goods.
PEKAES will also provide assistance to the wards of the Children’s Hospice in Gdynia − Bursztynowa Przystań (Amber Haven).

Not just for Christmas
Szlachetna Paczka (Noble Parcel) – the shared campaign with the Social Assistance Centre in Błonie – is an undertaking already carried out by PEKAES in the previous years.
Charitable activity conducted by PEKAES is not limited to Christmas campaigns – aid is provided all year round. Last year the company became involved among other things in the rebuilding of a house after a fire, helping sick children, or delivering donations for wards of the Single Mother’s Home.
Also last year, PEKAES Branches in Czechowice-Dziedzice and Bydgoszcz joined the campaign organised by the TVS Foundation for the International Winnie-the-Pooh Day. The company organised the delivery of honey to Winnie-the-Pooh’s meeting with children from children’s homes from the Silesian Voivodeship. Several times PEKAES also supported a group of youth from the “Iskierki Wyobraźni” Association, providing the transport of the stage set for the World Finals of the Odyssey of the Mind which take place every year in the United States.
PEKAES employees have the opportunity of proposing a campaign in which they would like to take part. They may also join the team of PEKAES Volunteers – PEKAES Pomaga (PEKAES Helps).
