Russia banned the re-export of vegetables from African countries
The entry into our country of the sanction products, that were kept on the shelves of Russian stores under the African, is now banned. Re-export of fruits and vegetables introduced from some African countries is banned from 18 June.
Now the import to Russia of all products of high phytosanitary risk from Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as pears, apples, strawberries, tomatoes and mushrooms from côte d’ivoire, Benin, Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, Republic of Guinea and Burkina Faso will be possible only through the checkpoints on the Russian border with the certificates of these countries.
The quantities of vegetables and fruit accompanied by certificates of Africa, however, the representatives of African countries were assured that nothing was sent to Russia, said the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert within the framework of St. Petersburg international economic forum. According to him, “someone in the EU bought the official documents of all countries, certificates are authentic and the products – sanctions”.
Earlier it became known that the Rosselkhoznadzor may prohibit the re-export of plant products through the EU and the countries of Latin America. The Ministry suspect that they also supply products that are today banned in our country.
June 1, Rosselkhoznadzor has asked Belarus not to import products without confirmation of re-export certificate of the European Union.

In June will start the negotiations on a new trade and economic partnership in Eurasia.
«The project will participate and China too», said at the St. Petersburg economic forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin “The official start of negotiations” should be given in June, Putin said. “We and our partners believe that the Eurasian economic Union may become one of the centers of formation of wider integration path,” the President said during the plenary session.
In the new circuit it will be possible to solve major technological problems and to motivate, and «to engage in the process» for new members, Putin said. To create it you firstly it is needed to bring to a common denominator a phytosanitary and customs legislation, and then «gradually move towards the reduction and then the abolition of tariff restrictions”.
The negotiations, which will begin in June with China will be “one of the first steps of the formation of a large Eurasian partnerships”, said the President. The project is supported by Russia and the countries of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU). Putin added that this question had already been discussed in May in Astana during the meeting of the heads of the EEU, which includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. Potentially the Union could include China, India, Pakistan, Iran and other countries.

Russia may create free trade zone with foreign countries
The Russian government is considering the possibility of creating free economic zones in the post-Soviet space but also beyond it.
It is planned that a report on the prospects of signing of agreements with 12 countries will be ready in September. In the short-list were: Egypt, Israel, India, China, Indonesia, Iran, Cambodia, South Korea, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Peru and Chile.
Question about the conclusion of free trade agreements is regularly raised by Russia’s trading partners at various levels, including the bilateral intergovernmental commissions.
Today Russia is in the Eurasian economic Union along with such countries as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, which imposes certain obligations on the Russian side, and the conclusion of such agreements cannot be made without considering the interests of all countries — participants of the EEU.
Executive Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs Alexander Murychev believes that the search for potential partners is associated not primarily with the US response to their new partnership (trade Union), although this motif is present, and to a greater extent with the future development of Russia itself.
The first international document on free trade zone between the EEU and the third party was the agreement with Vietnam which was signed in may 2015. The document stipulates terms of tariff liberalisation of goods trade between the EEU and Vietnam by reducing or zeroing of rates of the import customs duties on a significant group of products.
