MIREMAR (Uruguay) moves 70 tons of frozen and chilled beef by Airfreight

During the first half of 2016, MIREMAR, your PANGEA partner from Uruguay, has loaded around 70 tons of meat (Chilled and Frozen) shipped by air from Uruguay to different destinations worldwide. They have offered specialized packaging services and arranged the air freight shipments.

The ongoing management of perishable products like meat has given MIREMAR the right experience to apply the necessary concepts for the proper handling of these goods, ensuring arrival at their final destination in good condition. This includes:

• Transferring the valuable shipments into the appropriate cold room
• Maintain and monitor the optimum temperature of the meat
• Professional loading of the cargo into containers and protecting in adequate thermo packaging
• Maintain the temperature throughout the journey as per the established regulations for chilled (-2 to 0ºC) or frozen (-25 to -20 ºC).

MIREMAR has also developed and managed packaging for sample shipments, allowing them to offer this service for small parcels as well.
