Following the resounding success in 2013, the 5th edition of INMEX Vietnam will open its doors once again to welcome the Maritime community 2015 at the Tan Binh Exhibition & Convention Centre (TBECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 18th – 20th March.
INMEX Vietnam 2015 is an inaugural and dedicated international exhibition and forum showcasing the latest state-of-the-art marine science and ocean technologies. It will showcase all aspects of shipbuilding, marine services and engineering, marine equipment, offshore marine, port and supply chain management solutions that are available in the market today.
The economic activity within the maritime industry will most probably be riding the headwinds, with strong growth set to occur. Recent research suggests that Vietnam’s Prime Minister recently approved a development plan by 2020 in which the majority of imports and exports are to be transported by sea. The Vietnamese Government plans to increase shipping of goods to 140-152 million from 40 million tonnes currently. The profitability and potential of the Vietnam’s shipping industry has translated to this development plan.
“The maritime industry in Vietnam has tremendous potential as recognized by many experts in the field,” Mrs. Anna Li, Managing Director of Informa Exhibitions said. “With the government’s support and private businesses’ investments amounting up to USD1-1.5 billion by the year 2020, the maritime industry in Vietnam is set to develop and grow rapidly to cope with impending pressure from increasing trade. Hence, INMEX Vietnam 2015 comes at a perfect opportunity for both local and international maritime professionals to capitalize on the growing potential of this industry”.
This edition of INMEX Vietnam 2015 will feature a special shipyards visit to the local shipyards around the Ho Chi Minh City area. The shipyards visit will be a unique component of the show which will provide exhibitors an opportunity to meet top-level shipyard owners for focused discussions. It will take place the following day after the exhibitions and will be a good opportunity for exhibitors to meet and discuss requirements for their upcoming projects.
