GLOBAL EXPRESS ARGENTINA (GLOBALEXAR), your Pangea partner in Argentina, has successfully completed the import of large-scale cranes and machinery for the Northern Gas Pipeline, a vital infrastructure project that will transport gas from Vaca Muerta to the northern regions of Argentina.
The operation handled a total freight volume of 560 tons and 600 CBM, including 14 cranes and various boxes containing spare parts. The three largest cranes measured 4 x 4.11 x 3.20 meters and 6.07 x 4.20 x 3.40 meters, each weighing approximately 40 tons. 48’ flatbed trucks were used for smooth and timely delivery. GLOBALEXAR was responsible of the customs clearance and internal logistics.
These cranes and machines will play a crucial role in constructing the first 100 kilometers of the Federal Integration Gas Pipeline. Work in these sections continues with crossing, splicing, lining, trenching, lowering, and capping, as well as ultrasound tests, followed by hydraulic tests. The project will also include an additional 22 kilometers of pipeline and 62 kilometers of loops (expansions) to the Northern Gas Pipeline.
The Northern Gas Pipeline Reversal will enable the transportation of gas from Vaca Muerta to the provinces of Córdoba, Tucumán, La Rioja, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Salta, and Jujuy for electricity generation, the supply of homes and industries, and the development of new scale activities such as lithium mining, in addition to exporting gas to countries in the region.
GLOBALEXAR‘s expertise in Oil & Gas logistics ensured the smooth handling and timely delivery of the imported equipment, contributing to the advancement of Argentina’s energy infrastructure development.
