GFT LOGISTICS, your Pangea partner in Türkiye, has recently completed a challenging airfreight project, transporting 21,500 chargeable weight kilograms (CW KGS) of oversized cargo from Istanbul Airport (IST) to Mumbai (BOM). The shipment, intended for the furniture industry, comprised 13 oversized wooden cases, each pallet measuring 295x195x115 cm.
This project required exceptional planning and flawless execution, as GFT managed all inland services, from initial haulage and secure loading to precise handling in their own warehouse and careful packing in cases. GFT then delivered the shipment to Istanbul Airport and coordinated the airfreight to Mumbai.
Executed during the peak season, a time typically characterized by limited cargo space and heightened demand, the project presented significant challenges. Despite this, GFT successfully arranged the entire shipment as one lot, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
