FOX Brasil, your PANGEA Partner from Brazil, had the privilege of taking up the challenge and coordinate the import of a sizable boiler from the nice little town of Ferrysburg, Michigan, located at the banks of the beautiful Lake Michigan, all the way to the port of Norfolk, Virginia.
Getting the licenses to haul this cargo was one of the major obstacles FOX Brasil had to overcome. While the nearest route would be through Michigan, Ohio, Pensilvania, Maryland and finally Virgina, however the Birthplace of Aviation State, Ohio, denied permission for their cargo. FOX Brasil had to route the boiler through the states of Indiana and Kentucky, adding several miles and time to their successful journey.
The boiler was loaded on the deck of a container ship and discharged over wheels at the port of Salvador to follow a 60km journey up to the discharge site, followed closely by FOX Brasil staff members
