CHS Air Logistics, your Pangea partner in Finland, has just completed a challenging forwarding service case by transporting an aircraft engine by air from Helsinki, Finland to Istanbul, Türkiye. Being able to accomplish this service by air was critical: the engine was so high that had it been only half a centimetre higher, it would have been impossible to get in in the carrier plane.
On Monday, CHS Air Logistics was contacted on the case. The aircraft engine had been in Helsinki for repairs and it was due back to Türkiye close to the Syrian border. CHS Air Logistics explored the transport options of which there were several: by charter flight straight from Helsinki to Istanbul or by truck to Tallinn, Frankfurt or Amsterdam and a charter flight from there to the Turkish capital. The straightest and the fastest option was chosen – and the task was ready for completion. The charter flight departed on Wednesday morning, and it was up to only 0.5 centimetres that this was possible.
Below are two photos related to the case.
CHS Air Logistics provides forwarding services for Aircraft engines from time to time, often to Great Britain and the USA, but they are rarely this critical, if ever Pls. visit www.airloggroup.com for more information.
