This year’s edition of Trans Poland Exhibition has come to an end. Just like a year ago, the event gathered in Warsaw transport and logistics specialists – nearly 100 companies from 15 countries showed up as exhibitors while approximately 2.600 people from 26 different countries came as visitors. Representatives of the industry institutions and specialist media were also among the guests. This year, the Exhibition’s Honorary Partner was Ministry of Infrastructure and Development.
The grand opening ceremony took place at the Warsaw EXPO XXI Centre on the 5th of November 2014 at 10:30. Edward Strachan – Lent Trade Events, Laurent Noel – ITE Group Director of Transport and Tourism Sector, Janina Mentrak – Ministry of Infrastructure and Development and Paweł Konowałek – Manager of Trans Poland Exhibition – all did the honours and symbolically cut the ribbon.
What was the 2014 edition of Trans Poland like?
Second edition of Trans Poland Exhibition ended with a big success. The accompanying conferences and lectures enjoyed great interest among the visitors, while the exhibitors were explicitly glad about the whole event.
“This year, we are making our debut at Trans Poland. We are very pleasantly surprised because of a large number of visitors to our stand – both our regular business partners and brand new ones. We have established many new business contacts and I must honestly admit that we did not expect so much interest. We already know that our presence here next year is a must” – says Joanna Ryszkowska, ERONTRANS.
“Certainly, there are more visitors than last year – I showed up as a visitor at the previous edition. We are very happy with what was going on at our stand. We have been thinking a lot about our presence during the next year’s edition of the exhibition. We are not wondering “whether to participate” but “how to present ourselves”. We are extremely satisfied” – says Klaudia Grzybowska, TimoCom.
This year, the exhibitors made every effort to be fully prepared for the event. Many of them decided to present their latest solutions and offers during Trans Poland. The B2B formula of the event provided an opportunity to meet on the one hand managers of transport companies and on the other hand decision makers from logistics departments of importers, exporters as well as producers and distributors. Owners, managers, directors and presidents constituted as much as 62% of the whole number of visitors. Among the exhibitors there were such companies as DB Schenker, Raben Group, LOT Polish Airlines – Post and Cargo Offices, Loconi Intermodal, PCC Intermodal, TimoCom, Lufthansa Cargo, DPD Poland, Bridgestone Sales Poland, DAF Trucks Poland, and many others.
“We are really satisfied with the Exhibition, we can see plenty of visitors. We are extremely busy all the time, and it thrills us. This is what we came here for, and so, most probably, we will be here next year. As for the organisational issues, everything was just fine” – says Piotr Skipor, Raben Group.
“Trans Poland is our first exhibition in Poland. We were rather reserved about it but I can see that our presence here was worthwhile. Our stand was quite busy, there were plenty of guests but also a lot of potential customers interested in our offer. Next year, we are going for a larger stand – that’s for sure!” – says Jan Brachmann, Seifert Poland.
Trans Poland is more than just exhibiting space. This year’s absolute novelty was the Services Zone – where representatives of the Customs Service, Road Transport Inspectorate, Transportation Technical Supervision and Police offered free of charge consultation and legal advice to all the interested participants of the exhibition. As last year, the programme included also Transportation Meetings organised by the editor of TSL Biznes and Truck & Van and partners.
“Together with our partners and experts, we are familiarising the forwarders with the current and potential risks, and we offer advice on how to deal with them. This way, in just one spot, the forwarders can gain, completely free of charge, a handful of information which may be extremely helpful in their daily business” – says Mirosław Ganiec, Editor-in-Chief of TSL Biznes.
Every day of the Exhibition was an occasion not only to meet fellow professionals but also to increase the level of expert knowledge and skills. On the first day, during the conference entitled “Safety and Security of Transport to CIS Countries”, the speakers gave answers to the most bothering questions concerning transporting the goods to the East. Recent economic and political changes, their influence on the Polish transport industry as well as the problem of TIR carnet in Russia and others were among the raised issues.
Intermodal Forum EURO TSL 2014 was the highlight of the second day, its main focus was to acquaint the audience with the changes in ADR regulations coming in 2015 but also with the latest solutions which have influence on the safety level of the transport of chemicals and hazardous goods.
The Exhibition did not slow down the pace on the last day – Trans & Log conference brought together large numbers of logistics managers from numerous companies of various industries.
“While planning the second edition of the Exhibition, our aim was not only to give the visitors the opportunity to establish new business contacts but also to furnish them with a significant amount of professional knowledge which can be easily put into practice” – says Paweł Konowałek, Trans Poland Exhibition Manager.
“During the organisation of the Exhibition, we try to carefully analyse the transport and logistics industry and to observe the changes. I must admit that I am pleased to see the industry so active. It makes me glad that the Exhibition settled for good, and I cannot wait till the next edition to which you are already welcome!” – he adds.
Third edition of the Trans Poland Exhibition will take place at the Warsaw EXPO XXI Centre from 4th to 6th November 2015.
