PEKAES, your Pangea partner in Poland and a leading logistics operator, opened a new class A modern distribution terminal in Białystok, which significantly expands the scale of the operational capabilities of PEKAES in this rapidly developing part of the country.
The start of 2019 is marked by the further expansion of the PEKAES distribution network. The company provided an ergonomic class A distribution terminal for use by its Clients located on the grounds of the modern Panattoni logistics park in Białystok. The facility will allow for the efficient handling of an even greater number of domestic and international shipments.
The new facility of PEKAES in Białystok is a spacious and functional building with a total floor space of almost 2000 square metres. It is equipped with all of the technical equipment that is essential to support the sorting process in the handling of LTL shipments. Energy efficient solutions have been implemented in the facility in accordance with the company’s best standards and policy. With employees in mind, a friendly outdoor rest area was created.
“Podlasie is one of those regions in Poland that is currently experiencing rapid development. This directly translates into an increase in our business activities, the result of which is the opening of a terminal in a new location. It fulfils the highest standards and is perfectly prepared for the implementation of future projects”, says Maciej Bachman, the President of the Management Board of PEKAES.
Białystok is becoming increasingly important on the logistics map of Poland, connecting the eastern part of the country with other Polish regions. Importantly, the city is also located on the “Via Carpatia” route which, in the future, will play a key role in the transport of goods between the Baltic countries and Southern Europe. It is also an important location for the business of PEKAES.
“In the Białystok Branch, the last works are currently being carried out related to the construction of an additional outside ramp for distribution vehicles, which will increase the operational capabilities of the new terminal. I am counting on completing this stage of the expansion of the facility in the first quarter of this year. We will announce our next investments soon”, adds Maciej Bachman, the President of the Management Board of PEKAES.
Along with the opening of the new terminal of PEKAES, the address of the Białystok Branch of PEKAES has changed. Its office is now located in Białystok at ul.
Aksamitna 8A, on the grounds of the Panattoni logistics park. All current telephone numbers and e-mail addresses remain unchanged.
