ICHIBAN CARGO (India) handles OOG project shipment during national lockdown

ICHIBAN CARGO, your Pangea partner in India, has successfully managed to move an OOG project cargo despite the national coronavirus lockdown imposed since 24th March. The key for doing so was that prior the arrival of the cargo, ICHIBAN anticipated a strategic and accurate planning and obtained the necessary approvals by the State Authorities.

The project consisted of a 42 Tons press machinery used in the Automotive industry and measuring 455 x 490 x 345 cm. The cargo arrived from Nagoya Port (Japan) to Mundra Port (India). At Mundra Port, ICHIBAN arranged the import customs clearance and reception of the cargo. They then un-loaded the cargo from vessel and loaded, lashed and secured the same onto a low-bed truck for its transportation until final destination. The shipment was transported 1650Kms until customer’s premises at Punjab, having all the required permits and following the authorities guidelines.

Despite the road transport restrictions and country lockdown this was a successful port-to-door special operation successfully arranged by experienced freight forwarder ICHIBAN CARGO.
